According to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan, from February 1 through March 23, 5038 citizens arriving to Tajikistan from abroad have been quarantined at the country’s infectious diseases hospitals and sanatoriums.
Out of this number, 1981 have been discharged, and 3057, of which 107 foreigners, are currently quarantined at the country’s infectious hospitals.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan is making every effort to ensure that citizens arriving to Tajikistan from abroad spend their quarantine in good conditions.
In particular, as of March 23, 369 Tajik citizens, who arrived in Tajikistan from several foreign countries, have been quarantined at the Dushanbe City Medical Center No. 1 (First Soviet). All conditions and opportunities in this medical center are provided for quarantined people.
It should be noted that at the initiative of the Ministry of Health, people who were temporarily quarantined in not-so-good places were relocated to places with good conditions and opportunities.
To date, no coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Tajikistan. However, measures are being strengthened to prevent the spread of coronavirus to the country.
