A round table entitled “Healthy Family – the Foundation of the State” was held in honor of the Family Day at the State Institution of the National Medical Center of the Republic of Tajikistan in “Shifobakhsh” town. It was attended by the female students and members of the Women’s Council of the Tajik State Medical University (TSMU) named after Abuali Ibn Sino.
According to the TSMU website, the chairman of the Women’s Council Hojieva Gulnora Boboevna in her speech noted that the family is one of the most important values of the human community. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon regularly attaches special importance to the formation of a healthy family and its role in the development of the state and raising the younger generation, and in one of his speeches stated that “the family as a socio-legal phenomenon is the foundation of the community, and the government of the country will take all necessary measures at the constitutional level to protect the family and provide care for the mother and child by the state”.
At the round table, the members of the Women’s Council of this university Karimova Faryona, Kuddusova Farzona and Abdulazizova Parvona, who participated in the scientific-theoretical conference entitled “Strengthening family issues in the context of globalization”, also shared their impressions in their reports.
It should be noted that the decision to mark the World Family Doctor Day was adopted by the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) in 2010, and was officially announced on May 19, 2011 at the opening ceremony of the WONCA World Conference in Cancun, Mexico. May 19 is marked annually worldwide as World Family Doctor Day in order to focus the whole community’s attention on the family medicine specialty and their important contribution to the promotion of health care field to ensure the health of the population, in particular to improve the quality of a family medicine.
