A ceremony of receiving humanitarian aid on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan was held in Dushanbe. This humanitarian aid, which recently arrived in 18 wagons, consists of 1 thousand tons of flour, antiseptics and disinfectants, medical gowns, gloves, masks and medical shoes, respirators and goggles. This humanitarian aid was delivered to Dushanbe by a delegation from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Nasim Olimzoda, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Zarobiddin Faizullozoda, Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Rustam Nazarzoda, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan Ergash Shoismatov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Material Resources S. Ziyodulloev and other officials.
The Tajik side thanked the Government of Uzbekistan for providing this generous assistance to the people of Tajikistan and praised the bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
In his speech, Shoismatov noted that this humanitarian aid to Tajikistan is just one example of good neighborly relations between the two countries and peoples, which are based on traditional friendship and solidarity.
The Ambassador also stressed that Uzbekistan will continue its efforts to strengthen and develop friendly relations between the two countries.
