Today, January 14, a training seminar was held in order to conduct a rapid assessment of the quality of medical services to mothers and children in 12 pilot districts of Khatlon region, which were selected as pilot districts under the Healthy Mother – Healthy Child Project.
The seminar was attended by the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection if the Population Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda, heads of a number of ministry’s subdivisions and specialists from pilot districts of the project.
While on her opening speech, Abdusamatzoda said that in Khatlon this year will be launched another project called Healthy Mother – Healthy Child in 12 cities and districts.
The main goal of the project is to improve the nutritional status of mothers and children, prevent morbidity and mortality, and provide timely diagnosis and treatment for this group of the population.
It should be noted that an assessment is planned before the start of the project. In order to conduct this assessment at a high level and with good quality, this seminar will be organized and held for 3 days.
A number of field leading experts will present reports to participants on various aspects of maternal and child health at the training seminar.
