On November 21, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda met with the World Bank working group on the occasion of the launch of the Healthy Nation Project.
Abdusamatzoda thanked the World Bank on behalf of the ministry’s leadership for the ongoing support in the field of health and social protection of the population.
It was noted that several projects in the field of healthcare and social protection of the population are currently being successfully implemented in the country with the financing of this bank, which is a sign of mutually beneficial cooperation between World Bank and the Government of Tajikistan, especially with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
The Healthy Nation Project was developed as part of the implementation of the National Health Strategy of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 and its goal is to further improve the level and quality of medical services for the population.
The parties also exchanged views on various areas of the Healthy Nation Project.
