As we earlier reported, from October 23 through November 2, at the initiative of the Health Ministry in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), children with congenital heart defects undergo operations free of charge in the Istiklol health complex.
The goal of the initiative is to support low-income families raising children with congenital heart defects.
Today at the Istiqlol Health Complex, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda met with doctors from the UAE, who arrived in Tajikistan to perform this benevolent act.
Abdullozoda expressed gratitude to the doctors for the initiative and called it a continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
Doctors from the UAE were awarded certificates of honor by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan, as well as souvenirs were handed over to children who underwent surgery.
We will recall that leading Tajik specialists also took part in the operation on children and adolescents with congenital heart disease.
