In order to get acquainted with the activities of health facilities and their preparation for the winter, the analysis of the sanitary and epidemiological situation, the intensification of advocacy work on the prevention of COVID-19 and other issues, the working group of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan headed by Deputy Minister Samariddin Alizoda is in Sughd region. The working group is also accompanied by the WHO Representative in Tajikistan Bakhtygul Karryyeva.
Following familiarization with the activities of health facilities in Panjakent, the working group visited Istaravshan, Bobojon Ghafurov and Asht and got acquainted with the activities of central hospitals and other health facilities.
Also, in order to analyze and review the sanitary and epidemiological situation, in particular the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, working meetings were held with the participation of a working group, management and representatives of a number of cities and districts.
During the meetings it was noted that despite the measures taken by the Government and the Ministry of Health to prevent COVID-19, there is a lack of care and attention on the part of citizens in this matter. Particularly today, inside public transport, service centers, markets, shops and other crowded places, can meet many citizens who do not follow the rules of prevention of this disease.
It should be noted that in recent years, with the support of the Government and the Ministry of Health in collaboration with local authorities in Sughd region the repair and rehabilitation of medical facilities, health centers, district hospitals, day care centers, homes for the disabled and the elderly has become a tradition, as well as significant work has been completed
