The 50th Union World Conference on Lung Health is taking place in Hyderabad, India.
As the Director of the Press Center of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Bibikhonum Darveshzoda reported to moh.tj from Indian Hyderabad, the conference was opened by the scientific leader of the International TB Board, Dr Paula I Fujiwara.
The Director of the Republican Center on Social Protection from TB Asliddin Rajabzoda, Director of the Press Center of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population Bibikhonum Darveshzoda, Director of the State institution “Center for TB, Lung Diseases and Chest Surgery” Firuz Sharipov, representatives of the team “Our heroes: NO TB” of the Association of the TB Partnership in Tajikistan represent Tajikistan in this conference.
“The doctors, experts, and representatives of organizations working in the field of fight against lung diseases, including TB, will attend and deliver speech at the conference as well as will exchange experience and views on the fight against TB in their countries,” said Bibikhonum Darveshzoda.
“Also, the management of the various international organizations involved in this field will propose further projects to deal with lung diseases, including TB,” added Bibikhonum Darveshzoda.
According to her, today, Indian Hyderabad is a destination that brings together experts from all over the world to give a new impetus to the fight against lung diseases.
“The conference is being held in India because of the high incidence of lung disease, especially tuberculosis,” she mentioned.
A new TB vaccine was also presented at the conference, which will spark new evolution in the field of TB studies, emphasized Bibikhonum Darveshzoda.
It should be noted that the International Union against Lung Disease and Tuberculosis covers 140 countries and aims to reduce the incidence of lung diseases by 2025, including TB in the world, especially in India.
The famous Tajik singer Noziya Karomatullo will perform today, October 31 at the conference.
