Today, February 14, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasim Olimzoda met with the Indian Ambassador to Tajikistan Viraj Singh.
Nasim Olimzoda congratulated Viraj Singh on his appointment as Indian Ambassador to Tajikistan and expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation of the two countries, which are well established today in various directions.
“It should be noted that during the official visit of the President of Tajikistan to India between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India was signed an agreement on health cooperation as well as the Joint Tajik-Indian Intergovernmental Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, for the implementation of the relevant sections of this commission the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population will take all measures. Also, as it is known, the next session of Commission is planned to be held in Delhi on February 27-28,” Nasim Olimzoda added.
Viraj Singh, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry for the warm and cordial welcome as well as for providing such a favorable opportunity for the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the field of health.
It was noted that currently more than 120 Indian pharmaceutical companies have been registered in Tajikistan with more than 1000 types of medicines and medical products.
It should be noted that each year, with the support of the Indian Government Tajik health professionals are trained in English language, which contributes to improving their language skills.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in further development of cooperation.
