Today, a round table on Social work and modern issues of society: the role of government and NGOs in preventing domestic violence was held in Dushanbe at the initiative of the GOPA Gmbh (PDV) branch in Tajikistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Shodikhon Jamshed, representatives of a number of ministries and departments, organizations and institutions.
“Today’s event is very serious, political and social, and urges each of us to contribute to the preservation of national values, aspirations for life, unity and compassion,” said Jamshed.
The purpose of this event is to prevent and learn the legal framework for social assistance and protection of victims of domestic violence,” added he.
It was noted that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population provides services to victims of domestic violence, including family, mainly within the framework of public-private partnership and public social order with public organizations Dilafruz in Kulob and Bokhtar and Femida in Dushanbe, which works to prevent domestic violence.
Along with other categories of vulnerable and disadvantaged people, social services are provided to social victims of home-based social services in 41 cities and districts, if necessary
