The First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Ghafur Muhsinzoda attended and delivered speech at the fourth meeting of ECO health ministers, which was held online on June 2.
Representatives of the Health Ministries of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan also took part in the meeting.
The meeting focused on the experience participating countries in the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19.
Muhsinzoda spoke about the achievements and experience of Tajik doctors in the prevention of the COVID-19, noting that it was with the support and special attention of the Government that Tajikistan was able to overcome this disease.
“As a result of the tireless efforts of the country’s doctors, no new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Tajikistan since January 10,” he said.
The meeting participants expressed their interest in further expanding cooperation.
