On June 11, the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Shodikhon Jamshed met with German Ambassador to Tajikistan Andreas Portman.
The meeting was also attended by a WHO Representative in Tajikistan.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of the COVID-19 in the world.
Jamshed noted that no new cases of COVID-19 had been reported in Tajikistan since January 10, but that the ministry was continuing to take measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
Portman said that in the framework of the international fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and in coordination with the World Health Organization, the German government will provide Tajikistan with over 3.3 million medical masks, which will arrive in Tajikistan soon.
It was said that this assistance will be implemented in order to combat coronavirus disease.
The parties expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation
