Today, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda met with Turkish Ambassador to Tajikistan Emre Zeki Karagöl.
Abdullozoda expressed his impressions of participation in the Digital Health Conference and Exhibition, which was held in November this year in Antalya, and once again thanked the Turkish side for the invitation and welcome.
It was noted that the cooperation between the Ministries of Health of Tajikistan and Turkey in the framework of sectoral agreements began in 1996 and is currently in the development stage.
Turkish side as part of the meeting of the Tajik-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission proposed to sign new intergovernmental agreement in the field of health and medical science, focusing on public health and the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan expresses interest in their implementation.
The parties exchanged views on the training of Tajik specialists in endoscopic surgery and public health with a focus on virology, microbiology and epidemiology through training courses in Turkish cities, as well as exchange of experience of doctors of the two countries in the field of medicine.
They also expressed interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
