The implementation of the National TB Protection Program in Tajikistan for 2021-2025 was discussed on May 6 in Dushanbe.
The forum, organized as part of World TB Day, which this year was held under the slogan “Invest to End TB. Save Lives”, was attended by Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Abdukholik Amirzoda, director of the Republican Center for TB Protection Rustam Nurov, heads of a number of sectoral institutions.
During each certain period, taking into account the epidemiological situation and the results obtained, the Government of Tajikistan takes measures to protect the population from tuberculosis.
The relevant structures of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population are implementing national programs together with development partners and civil society.
“This process shows that the Government of Tajikistan puts in the first place in the National Development Strategy the protection of public health, ensuring its sanitary and epidemiological safety, as well as the fight against infectious diseases,” added k Amirzoda.
During the event, the participants were shown a video about the celebration of the World TB Day in the pilot areas.
