On May 8, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda met with the Ambassador of India to Tajikistan Rajesh Uki.
It was noted that during the official visit of the President of Tajikistan to India, on September 3, 2012, an Agreement on cooperation between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Republic of India in the field of healthcare was signed in Delhi.
Currently, there is a joint intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, and the Ministry is taking all measures to implement the relevant provisions of this commission.
Jamoliddin Abdullozoda expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare and said that currently, in Tajikistan, representatives of 103 Indian pharmaceutical companies have passed state registration of 819 types of medicines and medical products.
In this context, the Ministry is ready to cooperate with relevant bodies of India in the development of the pharmaceutical industry, exchange of experience of specialists, advanced training of specialists in the field of modern surgery, treatment of oncological diseases and care of newborn children.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further cooperation.
