In connection with World Tobacco Control Day “World Health Organization Medal” awarding ceremony to Founder of peace and national unity – Leader of nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellence Emomali Rahmon has been held in the second half of June 19, in townhouse of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The high award was handed out to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellence Emomali Rahmon by the representative of the World Health Organization Igor Pokanevych, and highly appraised the contribution and role of the President and the Government of the country for ensuring public health.
The leader of the nation, his excellence Emomali Rahmon, considered the honoring of this high award as the fruits of the constant efforts of the Tajik society for forming a healthy lifestyle. Tobacco control is one of the priority practical measures of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in social sphere, as the works conducted in the field of tobacco control in Tajikistan is primarily aimed at improving public health.
