The staff of the Tyumen sanatorium “Urban planner”, where citizens evacuated from China were sent to quarantine, is under daily copper supervision. This was provided on Thursday by the head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor Galina Sharukho.
144 people, including 4 children were evacuated from China to Russian Tyumen on two military aircraft on February 5. All those evacuated within 14 days will be located on the territory of a medical rehabilitation center located in a forest 28 km from Tyumen. This is a standard safety measure for such situations, reports TASS.
“We have established security measures, especially to protect medical staff. None of the staff contact without workwear. All personnel are under daily medical supervision. Everything is recorded in the documents. We are confident that we will be able to protect our staff. We have taken all measures,” Sharukho said.
According to her, the sanatorium was chosen as a rehabilitation center, since it was originally built as an anti-TB center.
“The center has created all the necessary conditions, because it was built as an anti-TB sanatorium,” Sharukho noted.
In turn, the head of the regional health department Inna Kulikova told reporters that in addition to Russians, citizens of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan are also quarantined.
“Residents of different regions are in quarantine. 16 foreign citizens are in quarantine. These are citizens of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. Children [quarantined] are Russian citizens. There are four children in quarantine, and everyone is healthy,” Kulikova stated.
Sharuho also noted that the luggage of those evacuated from China has not yet been returned to them.
“The luggage was sanitized outside on the field. <…> Then the suitcases by separate transport arrived at the sanatorium and are now in a separate room. What is inside can be dangerous for the owners. We sent a request to Rospotrebnadzor about how the disinfection of things will go,” she said.
