A round table on “Access to Reproductive Health of Persons with Disabilities: Obstacles and Prospects” was held at the Hilton Hotel in Dushanbe. It was initiated by the NGO “Ishtirok” (Participation) and dedicated to the Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is celebrated annually in Tajikistan on July 8.
The round table was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and committees, as well as representatives of civil society organizations, including public organizations of persons with disabilities.
While speaking, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Shodikhon Jamshed noted the support and interest of President Emomali Rahmon to a vulnerable groups, including people with disabilities, and stated that today, all conditions and opportunities are created for their work, life and activities.
Also, the event focused on the issues that hinder the realization of the reproductive rights and health of women and men with disabilities.
