On January 28, a working meeting was held in the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population in order to explain the important points of the President Emomali Rahmon’s Address to the Supreme Assembly.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, his Deputies Ghafur Muhsinzoda, Shodikhon Jamshed, Samariddin Alizoda, Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda, heads of ministry’s subdivisions, as well as heads of regional and city health departments and heads of health facilities via online.
While opening the meeting, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda noted that the President’s next Address is an important document for all country’s residents, which includes an analysis and review of the activities of various sectors over the past year, as well as action plans for the further development of various sectors of the country.
He noted that the four strategic goals of the state and the government, including overcoming the communication deadlock, ensuring food security, achieving energy independence and country’s industrialization had a special place in the Address.
It was noted that the purpose and goal of the implementation of these strategies is, first of all, to improve the living standards and quality of life of the people of the country.
In his Address, President once again expressed his sincere gratitude to all health workers who in the days and nights of the coronavirus outbreak remained faithful to their professional oath, worked diligently to treat the people of Tajikistan and saved the lives of thousands of compatriots.
Based on analysis the cases of infection with agents of various diseases have turned into one of the serious issues in the healthcare sector lately, the President instructed the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population to study the possibility of establishing a National Microbiology and Viral Studies Center and submit its proposals to the Government on the ways of addressing this issue.
It should be noted that the Ministry is already taking the necessary measures to establish this Center.
The meeting also focused on other issues.
Following the meeting Jamoliddin Abdullozoda gave specific instructions to the officials to improve the level and quality of medical services to the population, to eliminate the existing problems and shortcomings of the field.
