A round table entitled “Improving the management and maintenance of medical equipment” was held on June 7 this year at the Atlas hotel in Dushanbe on the initiative of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Representative Office of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The round table was attended by Deputies Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Saida Umarzoda and Shodikhon Jamshed, assistant to Minister Dilorom Sodikov, representatives of development partners and heads of various institutions and substructures of the Ministry.
Saida Umarzoda opening round table, noted that the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in his next Address stressed that one of the goals of the country’s government is to improve the level of medical service, the basis of which is the introduction of modern technologies and equipment.
“The main objective of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population is to equip the material and technical base of health institutions, to train specialists of the field and, thereby, to improve the level and quality of medical services to the population in order to eliminate the existing shortcomings,” she added.
In continuation, Assistant to Minister Dilorom Sodikova made speech on “The State of Equipment of Public Health Institutions and the Social Protection of the Population and the Formation of a Material and Technical Base” and the Director of the State Unitary Enterprise “Republican Center for the Provision of Services and Repair of Medical Equipment” S. Juraev on “The Development of a Concept for Maintenance and the Use of Medical Equipment.”
It was noted that thanks to consistent support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, a number of modern medical devices have entered the country in recent years, as a result of which the level and quality of diagnosis and treatment of patients is constantly improving.
In particular, only in the last five years, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan at the expense of centralized and special funds of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population, a large number of modern medical equipment was purchased and delivered to medical institutions, which laid a favorable basis for timely diagnosis and treatment as well as for the facilitation of the work of specialists in this field.
