In order to attend the International Conference on the Fight against Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Epidemiological Well-being, from April 19 through April 22 the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda visited Moscow.
It should be noted that this international conference is being held at the initiative of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing of the Russian Federation (Rospotrebnadzor) and the UN Program on HIV Prevention and Control for Eastern Europe and Central Asia with the participation of more than 400 representatives from the CIS, Europe , Asia, Africa and North America, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda took part in this event and made a speech.
According to the program, at the first plenary session after the official launch of the International Conference, Abdullozoda made a presentation on Ensuring epidemiological well-being in the fight against epidemics: Tajikistan’s experience in preventing and combating COVID-19.
Following the conference, the participants met with journalists, where Abdullozoda, in turn, answered questions of the Russian media.
Also as part of the event, a meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the Technical Assistance Program for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the Prevention and Control of HIV and Other Infectious Diseases was held, the purpose of which was to consider the possibility of continuing funding for the Program of the Russia for 2022-2024.
The meeting focused on the allocation of the necessary funding to combat and eradicate the COVID-19 pandemic and address global issues of prevention and control of COVID-19. It should be noted that the implementation of this program in Tajikistan began in 2013.
While on his visit, Abdullozoda met with the Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and the head of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) Anna Popova.
In particular, the meeting with Murashko focused on issues of strengthening cooperation in the field of health, including focusing on postgraduate education and training.
The ministers expressed interest in expanding cooperation in various fields.
