On April 4, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda met with the World Bank mission.
The meeting was also attended by the representative of the World Bank in Tajikistan Ozan Sevimli, representatives of the ministry and the bank.
It was noted that the development of a new healthcare project “Healthy Nation”, support for the implementation of existing projects, including “Improving healthcare” and “An emergency project to combat COVID-19”, the development of an investment plan will be aimed at supporting the implementation of the “National Health Strategy of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030”.
“Currently, an investment plan is being developed to support priority areas aimed at ensuring sustainable financing of the healthcare sector, providing quality and efficient services at the primary health care level, strengthening information systems, digitalization of healthcare and human resources in the healthcare system,” Jamoliddin Abdullozoda said.
It should be noted that the implementation of existing World Bank projects in the field of country’s health care and social protection of the population continues successfully.
In turn, the World Bank Country Office Director for Tajikistan Ozan Sevimli expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population and expressed interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
