A regular meeting of the Commission of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan on taking specific measures to prevent and treat COVID-19 was held today.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, his Deputies Ghafur Muhsinzoda, Shodikhon Jamshed, Samariddin Alizoda, heads of a number of ministry’s subdivisions, as well as heads of regional and district health departments and heads of hospitals attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on issues related to strict monitoring of COVID-19 patients who are in a light condition and receiving treatment at home under the supervision of doctors, in-depth analysis of the situation with COVID-19 in the country, providing doctors with protective equipment, the attitude of primary health care workers to patients, providing medical institutions with medical and antiviral drugs, strict control over the distribution of medicines, and other issues.
It was noted that despite the fact that in many parts of the country, especially in Dushanbe, the incidence of COVID-19 has recently decreased, and citizens ‘ access to medical institutions with symptoms of infectious disease is decreasing, prevention and treatment of COVID-19 should be strengthened.
Jamoliddin Abdullozoda drew the attention of heads of health facilities to the issue of monitoring patients and providing them with medicines, strengthening preventive measures and other issues, as well as gave specific instructions to officials to further improve medical services and eliminate existing shortcomings.
