In order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 and to immunize the population, the government of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population recently implemented a TES-19 grant project of the World Bank and 650,400 doses of the Modern vaccine have been delivered to Tajikistan through the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
In this regard, it should be noted that as of January 20, more than 4,355,582 citizens (75.6%) of the country have been vaccinated against COVID-19. As of this date, 3,636,802 people (63.1%) of citizens have received the second dose of the vaccine.
It should be noted that according to the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission, vaccination against coronavirus in Tajikistan for citizens from the age of 18 is mandatory.
People who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus should seek medical advice from a family doctor or local health facility.
The vaccine is provided free of charge to citizens of the country.
