While on their working visit to Tajikistan, on May 18, Uzbek health professionals visited the National Reference Laboratory.
The Uzbek specialists exchanged views with the staff of the laboratory on the prevention and treatment of patients with COVID-19.
It should be noted that at the direct initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 8, 8 Uzbek specialists, including pulmonologists, resuscitators, epidemiologists, virologists and nurses arrived in Tajikistan to assist their Tajik counterparts in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
The purpose of the visit of Uzbek doctors is to share their experience with their Tajik counterparts on the treatment of people infected with coronavirus.
The National Reference Laboratory of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan was inaugurated on April 28, 2017 with the participation of President Emomali Rahmon in a solemn atmosphere.
The laboratory has all the working conditions, and its modern equipment allows providing patients with the most accurate diagnostics with high quality and meeting international requirements.
The mission of the National Reference Laboratory is to conduct all clinical, biochemical, immunological, bacteriological and virological tests.
