On February 28, in the context of the next meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a working meeting of the headquarters was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Nasim Olimzoda drew the attention of attendees to the issues considered during the meeting of the Government of Tajikistan.
Nasim Olimzoda instructed the responsible persons to take specific measures to prevent coronavirus among the population: in crowded places, markets, mosques, weddings and other traditional events, as well as personal hygiene.
It was also instructed to establish propaganda and awareness-raising work through the media, industry experts – to present to the population their recommendations on personal hygiene in public places, when cooking, communicating with children, especially with newborns.
Yesterday, at a regular meeting of the Government of Tajikistan, the issue of taking additional measures to prevent coronavirus was considered.
Nasim Olimzoda updated the attendees about the measures taken by the government to prevent the threats linked with the spreading of the coronavirus.
In particular, it was noted that, as of today, not a single case of coronavirus infection has been recorded among citizens of Tajikistan and other nationals that have arrived in Tajikistan.
Tajikistan has taken urgent measures to ensure national sanitary and epidemiological safety, quarantine coverage, search for sources of procurement of disposable protective equipment, disinfection materials, test equipment and food reservations.
Measures in this direction are under the direct control of President Emomali Rahmon, and further preventive, informational, educational and anti-epidemic measures will be continued to prevent the entry of coronavirus into Tajikistan, as well as to ensure the normal functioning of the country’s sanitary and epidemiological surveillance system.
