1481 units of medical equipment and materials worth 20.1 million Tajik somoni for medical institutions of Sughd province in 2019 were purchased.
Of this number 1.2 million Tajik somoni was allocated by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, 5.0 million Tajik somoni by the local provincial executive authorities, 7.5 million Tajik somoni by the local budget, 3.2 million Tajik somoni by humanitarian aid, and 3.2 million of Tajik somoni by special account of institutions.
It should be noted that more than 1,000 healthcare facilities are functioning in the province. 5,143 physicians and 17,393 nurses serve provincial population.
