On August 6, a working meeting was held with the participation of the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of Tajikistan Jamoliddin Abdullozoda on the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
The meeting was attended by Deputies Minister Samariddin Alizoda, Zulfiya Abdusamatzoda, heads of ministry’s subdivisions, as well as heads of regional health departments and heads of a number of health facilities of cities and districts via online.
Abdullozoda drew the attention of officials to the issues of taking additional measures to prevent the second wave of COVID-19, strengthening awareness among the population to comply with the rules of prevention of the disease, control of outpatients, providing patients with medicines and other issues.
It was noted that despite the fact that the number of COVID-19 cases has recently decreased in the country, and the number of citizens who went to the country’s medical institutions with symptoms of the disease has decreased, it is necessary to enhance preventive measures and treatment of COVID-19.
Following the meeting, the Minister gave specific instructions to officials to further improve medical services and take additional measures to prevent and treat COVID-19.
