The delegation of the World Bank, working in the health care system, led by Kate Mandeville completed their business trip.
Nasim Olimzoda, Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Tajikistan received the delegation at the end of their business trip.
Kate Mandeville expressed satisfaction with the continuous support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the special attention of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan and noted that the results of the “Improving Health Services Project” under the Ministry of the Health care and Social Protection of Population of the country is noticeable and we appreciated it.
“Implementation of this project in Tajikistan is satisfactory for investors, and we will use this experience in Tajikistan for other countries, because the project could complete all its tasks,” added Kate Mandeville.
The representatives of the World Bank are also actively involved in the implementation of funding mechanisms based on the results of activities in the pilot districts of Sughd and Khatlon regions and continue to ensure the immunization process in the country.
During the meeting, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasim Olimzoda expressed gratitude to the World Bank for their support and contribution to the health sector reform, and he also noted that protection of the health population is a primary task of the leadership of the Government of Tajikistan, as well as for the close cooperation and good work of partners in the framework of the fundamental policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity-Leader of the Nation, President of the country Emomali Rahmon.
It was noted that this project would continue to support the primary health care providers in remote areas of the country, including the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
