
A regular meeting of the Public Council of Tajikistan on “Development of health care and improving the level of social services in the post-pandemic period” was held on May 20.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Social Development of the Presidential Executive Office Guljahon Abdufattohzoda, Adviser to the Assistant of the President on Social Development and Public Relations Affairs Sh. Azizzoda, Coordinating Secretary of the Public Council N. Saidov, member of the Public Council, Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda, Rector of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University Mahmadsho Gulzoda, heads of a number of departments and subdivisions of the Ministry of Health.
Azizzoda spoke briefly about the constant attention and support of the top leadership of the government in the field of health and social protection.
Abdullozoda spoke about the state of health and social protection in the country, noting that despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of health care and social protection in the country has been ensured through the efforts and continued support of the Government, in particular President Emomali Rahmon.
He added that during and after the COVID-19 pandemic the support of the needy segments of the population, the elderly and the disabled and orphans was in the focus of the Government and this process will be continued.
He provided information on other areas of health and social protection of the population.
Then, members of the Council asked questions about the state of medical services in the country, to which Abdullozoda gave specific answers.
Following the meeting, the decision was adopted on the discussed issue.
